Over at TWC I asked for a mod that would allow me to make the units move in super-slow motion, much slower than the 50 percent or so unit movement reduction speed that the vanilla game allows. I want a mod that allows me to reduce the unit movement speed by 80 to 90 percent, just like the slider in Medieval 2 allows. And preferably with the proper audio as well, just like in Medieval 2. Bran responded that Wars of the Gods is what I am looking for. However, I am 99.99 percent certain that Bran did not understand what I meant. I know that Wars of the Gods makes battles last much longer by increasing the morale and such, and while a wonderful thing, that is not what I am looking for. Can anyone clarify for me that indeed Wars of the Gods do does not really allow for super slow motion unit movement speed? I hope I am wrong and that it does, btw. Thanks.

At least for mounted units at running speed, Wars of the Gods appears to slow down the battle movement speed by at least 50 percent as compared to vanilla, so that is really quite a lot. Thanks again, Bran!
Actually, I've been doing just a little bit of testing, comparing different battle mods, and perhaps Bran did understand what I was talking about after all, as it appears that maybe the battle movement speed in Wars of the Gods really is a little bit slower than in the other battle mods. I might report back again after further testing. It's not anywhere near as huge as I would like, but perhaps that couldn't really be done with the Rome 2 engine even if one wished to do so. So perhaps Wars of the Gods is my best bet after all. If so, thank you Bran!
